I don’t know about you but June flew by over here at the studio.
It was a busy month mainly because I spent the first week or so preparing to take a holiday. An actual bona fida break. No email, no internet, no social media.
It was so wonderful and definitely what my brain and my body needed. It was the first time, I think ever, that I wasn’t running my shop remotely or worrying about orders. I had my lovely sister keeping an eye on things back in Ireland and it meant that I got to totally switch off.

Pride and Prejudice is one of my favourite novels of all time. I remember studying it in school and falling in love with Jane Austen’s Darcy and Elizabeth. It is the book that I have reread the most and will probably continue to do so for many years to come.

You can use these string tie envelopes to hold little gifts or to send your handmade cards to friends.
Theme the colours to your wedding and use them for confetti at your wedding party.
For Valentines Day, use them to hold homemade gift certificates. A really sweet and thoughtful gift that doesn’t break the bank.
They really turn an average token into a fantastic gift. You can also use them as packaging for jewellery, to give as a gift to someone special.
I originally intended this post to happen in January. A Happy New Year everyone, welcome to 2016, but as it in now February I think you can see that didn’t happen.
Because January was a bit epic. It is always so much busier than I think it will be and this year it was even more so.
