If you are a blog subscriber you will have noticed that I often do a ‘Quote of the Month’. I have so many favourite quotes that I have decided to up the ante and do a Quote of the Week.
In preparation for a new product that I am designing I have been rereading one of my favourite books from my childhood, Alice in Wonderland.
Alice in Wonderland is made up of two parts. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is the first book which see’s our heroine fall though the rabbit hole and into a fantasy world populated by the strangest and most contrary of creatures.
In Through the Looking-Glass, the sequel, Alice once again returns to this world this time through the ‘looking-glass’ of the title.
Written by Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pen name of Lewis Caroll in the mid 1800’s the books are the finest example of nonsense prose and plays on logic and language that I have ever read. I loved them as a child and reading them again has once again solidified them as my favourite books of all times.
Quote of the Week
This is one of my favourite quotes from Through the Looking-Glass.
– Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll
I have found that across the breath of the internet there are many quotes mistakenly attributed to the Alice in Wonderland books, so if you really do want to soak up Carroll’s words take my advice and open the books.
More about that new product I am working on very soon (Hint: It has something to do with Alice in Wonderland)
